Review by Candy:
What a great read! Russian mafia and Romanians what a combo. This story starts off with a major tragedy and then brings together two people, one trying to escape and one just wanting to feel numb. Christophe knows failure and he’s been drowning ever since, until one night he ventures to a tavern and there he sees Mariya. She’s kept here distance and looked at Christophe from afar but now it’s different. There’s angst in this with Mariya not sure how to feel about Christophe who still seems dangerous and Christophe is finally feeling for another since his loss. Greed is part of this story too but Christophe and Mariya are what bring out this story of loss, repair, freedom and vengeance. London I love how you put this story together, you had me in anticipation waiting to see how this love story would go. Your writing flows and brings the reader in and keeps them there. Translating the Romanian and Russian is also a treat for the reader who doesn’t understand, thank you. Looking forward to more from the Wild Bunch. 5 Stars!
