By Terri Blackstock

The Eagerly Anticipated Continuation of USA Today Bestseller If I Run

“Blackstock…is masterly navigating the suspenseful fugitive plot…Crisp dialogue and unexpected twists make this compulsive reading, and a final chapter cliffhanger leaves things poised for a sequel.”

— Publishers Weekly (If I Run)

“Emotions, tensions, and suspense all run high in this fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat thriller. The continuing storyline in Blackstock’s If I Run series keeps readers hungrily devouring each new book and waiting impatiently for the next.”

— RT Book Reviews (If I’m Found)

New York Times best-selling author Terri Blackstock will soon delight her readers with the long-awaited sequel to her 2016 thriller, If I Run. On March 21, 2017, If I’m Found [Zondervan/HarperCollins] releases, after much popular demand. In the first book, readers were introduced to Casey Cox – a troubled young woman on the lam, fleeing prosecution for a murder she didn’t commit – and Dylan Roberts, a war-weary veteran hired to find her. An evocative cat-and-mouse thriller, If I Run’s complex, wounded characters jumped off the page and into readers’ hearts – and left them anxious to find out what would happen next.

In If I’m Found, Casey escapes from her hideout in Shady Grove, Alabama, and, after taking on a new identity, tries to find evidence to accuse and convict the real murderers. She suspects the crooked cops who got away with murdering her father when she was twelve also killed her friend.

Soon, Casey stumbles upon another injustice: an abused child and a suicidal man who’s been falsely accused. She puts her own safety on the line to right this wrong and protect the little girl from her tormentors. But doing so is risky and may result in Casey’s capture – and if she’s captured, she has no doubt she’ll be murdered before she ever makes it to jail. If Casey can’t be the hero in her own life, she is determined to be one in someone else’s.

Meanwhile, Dylan – still struggling with PTSD and survivor’s guilt after living through IED explosions in Afghanistan and Iraq – is back in Louisiana, defending himself for his handling of Casey’s case. He now wants to find Casey in order to to keep her safe – not to take her to jail – since he’s certain she isn’t the real killer. Convinced the murderers are police detectives working on her case, Dylan embarks on a dangerous game of double agent that will put him – and Casey – in greater peril than he could’ve foreseen.

“Casey Cox is one of my favorite characters I’ve ever created,” says Blackstock. “She’s complex and simple at the same time. I’m known for writing novels with Christian themes, but in the If I Run Series, when Casey’s life becomes complicated, she resorts to lies and even crime to survive. Dylan is a wounded warrior with PTSD. It’s shocking how many of our war veterans are coming home with this invisible wound. Christianity gives Dylan a foundation he can stand on, but it doesn’t automatically cancel out his suffering.”

“I love writing about flawed characters in crisis, and showing how the crisis can sometimes be the blessing,” Blackstock continues. “I always hope that my books are entertaining, but I also hope that the If I Run Series will touch PTSD victims, their families, and those who feel alone or isolated for whatever reason. It always helps to see your story told.”

A heart-pounding page-turner full of twists that even the savviest of suspense readers won’t see coming, If I’m Found sees Blackstock at the top of her game as a contemporary novelist, and will be devoured by longtime readers and new fans alike.

Review by Paula:

Terri Blackstock loves to give you a thrill ride and has you gasping and wondering what is she gonna write next! Casey is still running from the police and still, wants to help anyone she can. Casey meets Cole a man who almost committed suicide and is accused of a crime. Will Casey help Cole or will she keep running? Dylan knows Casey is innocent and is trying to get evidence of the bad cops so he can put them away. But who can Dylan trust? Will Casey finally ever feel safe? Will Dylan prove to Casey with God on her side she can get through anything? I’m loving this series the twist and turns the wanting to turn the page and now we got  Keegan’s point of view in the book and you just want to yell and scream at that cruel, evil man! I love how we see all of Casey her feelings even with all that’s against her she helps anyone who needs it. Dylan, we see him struggle with his PTSD and how he’s determined to help Casey no matter what. I can’t wait to read book 3 and find out what happens next! Such an emotional book that you want to beg the author for more! 5 Stars
