Severed…
I moved on.
I couldn’t hold on to what was deteriorating, devastating, destroying,
Me.
Us.
Nobody
could.
And now, I have real love.
The kind that means something,
Rocking in chairs and growing old.
But, choosing between the past and future is too painful.
Too raw.
Too final.
I was bound to Gray, but he lost me,
Let me slip through his fingers.
That was then.
This is now.
I’m freed.
Review by Christine:
Freed by Stephie Walls is the second part of her Bound Duet which must be read in order. I’m not going to get into details of Freed’s plot since I wouldn’t want to give a spoiler ~ I hate when spoilers happen. Freed is a emotional tale of overcoming one’s past to find true happiness, all the while trying to heal from emotionally abusiveness relationship. Annie did make me shake my head a few times throughout this story. After everything that happened in Bound I couldn’t believe she’d still want any kind of a relationship with Grey. Brett is a saint and I couldn’t think of a more perfect match for Annie. I didn’t expect this conclusion to this story but I welcomed it after everything that happened before. Stephie excels in bring us, the reader, on a journey. We don’t know if it’s going to break our hearts or put them back together but we go along with the ride anyway. Thank you for gluing our broken hearts back together… 4.5 Stars for Freed by Stephie Walls
