“I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong.”
The Silver Swan
1. A girl who is tarnished. Tainted. One who does not fit into the confinement of legend.
The Silver Swan
2. Madison Montgomery.
I was lied to.
I was cheated.
Resigning to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle.
I’m a mere shadow of the girl they all knew.
Lies and deceit change you. They alter your entire outlook on life.
I’m Madison Montgomery, and I want to play a game.
Here’s what happens when I win.
Riddle me this, Mads.
What goes bump in the night,
but is something you can’t see with sight?
You may run, and you may hide.
Our happily ever after will be like Bonnie & Clyde.
Review by Paula:
I’ve never read such a series with so many lies and games that your mind is so twisted up that I had to read parts over again. Madison is such a fighter and so sick of all the lies one leads to another and another. So many things hidden from Madison it’s crazy! What are the Kings hiding? Or should I say maybe protecting? What does Bishop really want with Madison? Tons of shocking things happen that I gasped and cussed so many times reading this book. Definitely a page turner that I read the book in one sitting couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait till the next book that ending made me scream! 5 broken puppet stars
Review by Candy:
I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong.” – Madison Montgomery
Holy cow! Just when you think it’s gonna get better for Madison another bit of information comes to light. Madison and Tatum leave after her discovery of the Silver Swan in book 1, but they don’t stay gone long because Bishop comes for them both.
After their return home everything is still the same, keep secrets from Madison. Bishop seems to have developed feelings for Madison but he is a King and Kings don’t feel. Can these two ever be more or just enemies with benefits? Ah but then Madison comes face to face with her twin brother (but doesn’t know it yet) while trying to get away for a few days.
It seems at every turn there is a new detail for Madison to swallow and it doesn’t get her anymore answers just questions. This roller coaster she’s on surprises me cause I would’ve jumped off and disappeared by now. Madison goes through so much and I want her to find the answers that can set her free.
The Kings mostly want to protect Madison especially Nate and Bishop but what will the truth really do to Madison if she finds out? Why is her dad hiding stuff too to an extent? Daemon her twin what is it about him that she trusts but the others don’t?
Amo you have done it again with this installment of the King’s Elite. Mind games still going and more questions than answers. You have spun a great web of lies and some answers but not enough till the end. You have the reader hanging on every word in order to see it through to the end and that makes you an awesome writer. Again, I am so glad I have been introduced to your writing, you are well worth the read. Can’t wait for book 3 to come soon enough, you got me on pins and needles wanting to know what happens next. This is a book for those 18+ due to material written and some subject matter. 5 Stars.
