Blurb:

Zach Mummert has never met a woman he didn’t like—or a woman who didn’t like him. Using his position as a winger for the York Bombers and his talent with social media, he always gets what he wants, until he meets the one woman who doesn’t instantly succumb to his charms.

Haley Addison lives life on her own terms: no rules, no commitments, and no regrets. Fiery in spirit and fiercely independent, she has no interest in being another notch in Zack’s hockey stick. Yet their explosive chemistry won’t be denied, especially when Zach comes to Haley’s rescue.

There’s a fine line between love and hate, a line the mismatched pair crosses with as much passion in bed as out of it. No strings, no expectations. When Haley’s past comes back to haunt her, putting her life in peril, Zach realizes that some things are worth fighting for—no matter the cost—and Haley learns she must let go of the past if she wants to hang on to the future.

Review by Christine:

Playing It Up by Lisa B. Kamps is the 4th book in her York Bombers series and this series just keeps getting better and better! This spicy story of a fiery, independent waitress and the playboy of the local hockey team burned up my Kindle and I didn’t want to put this story down. Haley Addison is such a strong independent character but also scared and hiding things from her friends. Zach Mummert is known as the playboy of the team but he’s drawn to Haley’s smart mouth and the feeling to protect her even if she’s against the idea.

I honestly don’t know how Lisa does it. Story after story we get original story-lines that draw you in and keep you glued to your Kindle. Just the right amount of hockey action to compliment the story and smoking hot sex scenes that don’t feel over done. Haley and Zach had amazing chemistry and as much as I didn’t want this story to end, it truly has the perfect ending! 5 Stars for Playing It Up by Lisa B. Kamps
