I love this author, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book, I was not disappointed. The story follows Holly and Declan’s romance, jumping from past and present. After a misunderstanding while drunk, holly and Declan part ways, over the next few years, Declan has a multitude of women, in and out of his apartment, deciding that he wants Holly back, he will do everything in his power to win her back. Holly is hesitant at first, Declan broke her heart, especially when he refused to listen to her explanation of that fateful night. Will holly be able to forgive him? Will Hollys secret tear them apart once again?
I enjoyed this book, I read it in one sitting. I did like the H/h, I was invested in them as a couple and hoped Holly could forgive Declan so they could move forward and have a future together. I did like Baxter and Sage, they were good BFFs to Declan and Holly, they also brought some humour to the story. As the story wore on I did guess Hollys secret and my heart ached for her, when we find out the events of that night, I hated Declan so much! I couldn’t believe how he acted, I know he was drunk but even the next day he could have spoken to her and got the truth. I kinda went off him a bit after that, I would have made him beg a bit more!! Overall a great second chance love story, it has a few twists and turns that keeps you turning the page and some serious hot and sweaty scenes that melts your kindle. 4 Stars
