What a roller coaster ride that was! Fame is not what it seems especially when you start in the industry at 12 years old. When you have fame but not love you eventually find an out and that’s where drugs become your happy place.

Sophia has kinda been spiraling out of control since her bodyguard left her 5 years ago. At 17 she made a pass and at the time he was too old for her at 25 so for the best Blake left her and then that’s where it leads to the roller coaster ride of Sophia’s life spiraling.

5 years later Blake comes back if not to love Sophia the way she wants but to protect her from the threat that has reared its ugly head again from her childhood. Blake will protect her at any cost but can he protect his own heart that still loves Sophia even though he feels he still shouldn’t since he’s older.

I may have missed the first book in this series but it was easy to catch up and know what was going on. As I read the story, I thought I was right there with Blake knowing who was out to destroy Sophia but I was wrong and you’ll be surprised when you read it too. It seems that Sophia and Blake are English and there’s some wording that may be confusing but hey, go with the flow it adds laughter to the story being us Americans have weird language sometimes too. I enjoyed the P.O.V. from both main characters because it gives you a glimpse what the other is thinking. The story flows in the way you can follow it and want to know what will happen, again you’ll be surprised who is behind the threat but there is more than one. Anna, you had me worried at the epilogue. You came through though and now I’m just as curious as who the other person is that was never mentioned in the tense moment. Amazing job! 5 Stars!
