I absolutely love this series, each book can be read as a standalone, this book is a bit different from the previous books in the series. The reason is explained at the beginning, the wicked horse doesn’t feature as much in this book and the story has a different feel to it. Rachel and Bodie work together for the Jameson group, after a mission goes wrong they seek comfort in each other, though Rachel is not prepared for the fall out that night will have.

Though there are only a few scenes at the wicked horse, it’s still a hot, hot read! I loved Bodie, though he’s younger than Rachel he stepped up and was there for her when needed. Rachel was a tough, no nonsense woman, she is married to her job so doesn’t do relationships or think she would be good at them. Over the course of the book we see her become more confident and open with the help of Brodie. I loved how we get to see their friendship grow and blossom into them becoming lovers, I also loved how once Rachel told Brodie her plans he never pushed her, he was so supportive towards her.

This is a great introduction to the Jameson security team, I can’t wait to read Kynans story and a few of the other team members too! 4 Stars
