I read and reviewed over 300 books last year, I had quite a few 5 star reads but these are the books that stayed with me long after I finished reading them.

OMG!! I LOVED this book, it is on the short side but it certainly packs a punch. I was sucked straight into the story and spat out at the end!! Aston is a blonde, blue eyed, twisted SOB , but boy was I jealous of Kadence!! From the minute he set eyes on her she was his, Kadence knew she should run far from him, but after one taste she’s hooked. The chemistry between them is off the charts and the sexy times, oh my, they melted my kindle!! I loved the relationship he had with his brothers, they look after each even though they are a bit twisted! You certainly wouldn’t want to meet them in a dark alley. I loved how they accepted Kadence into their family and treat her as one of there own. The story is a bit dark and I wish it was longer, I could have cried when it ended! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series, wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Wow, I really enjoyed this book, I read it in one sitting. It’s a bit different from the books I usually read, it’s got a few twists and turns that keep you turning the page and it’s a bit of a slow burn romance too. I loved the characters, Weston is a bit gruff and standoffish but as the book moves on we see a softer side to him. Kate is quite feisty, doesn’t take any crap and is not to be underestimated. The background characters are likable and enhance the story, but the ending!! WHY!!!! Please don’t make us wait long for the next book, my nerves couldn’t take it. A great read which I highly recommend.

When I read the blurb for this book I though it would be a boy meets girl, typical YA story, boy was I wrong! I was sucked straight into the story from the first page, I couldn’t put it down, it follows Judd and Sunny. Judd was your typical popular jock, till his world is rocked and he’s made an outcast. Sunny is a quiet girl, but with a huge heart and a spark inside her that no matter what, could not be put out. Sunny really was an old soul in a young body, every one should have a friend like her. I loved the slow burn between them, there’s an instant attraction, but they are allies first and foremost. This book is so full of feels, even though they are having a hard time there’s still some swoon worthy moments. There’s a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming, but karma always gets her own back! This story will truly touch your heart and keep you thinking about it long after you finish, it’s one of my favorite books so far this year.

Wow, just wow! This book was amazing, it truly was an emotional, powerful, heart wrenching but beautiful read. The non-fiction part is really heartbreaking to read at times, but it’s a story that needs to be told and never forgotten. The fiction part is beautifully written, I loved Emma, I was so pleased she left her bad relationship behind and gave Jackson a chance ( with a little help from Amelia!) I, like Jackson, couldn’t wait to read more from Amelia’s diary. I really felt as if I was there with her, I ugly cried at times but there was also a little humor that made me giggle! Charlie, what an amazing man he was, I’m pleased he got his ending with Amelia, just wished it had been sooner. This really is one of the best books I’ve read this year, at times I was left speechless, the author truly put her heart and soul into the story. If you only read one book this year, please make it this one, you won’t be disappointed, I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

Wow, this book is amazing! It draws you in from the start, you are taken on a roller coaster of emotions and spat out at the end. It’s a romance story set against a backdrop of pain, emotional turmoil and family secrets that when revealed destroy relationships and families. The story pulls on your heart strings and is full of feels, keep tissues handy as you will need them! Taylor and Lola have both been through hell, both dealing with their problems differently, both barely getting by. Together they shouldn’t work, but they mesh together beautifully, they have a powerful chemistry between them. The path to true love never runs smooth, these two have more hurdles to overcome than most to get a happy ever after. Lola has to find a way to remember, Taylor needs to stop his self-destructive ways. Told in dual point of view, at times it’s hard to read as their inner thoughts literally gut you. This is a beautiful, love story with real life problems and emotions that will have you invested in Taylor and Lola’s relationship and rooting for them to find their way. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be the last, this is one of my favorite books so far this year. 5 amazing stars!

This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone, this book was awesome! I seriously couldn’t put it down, I laughed, cried and swooned while reading this. Joel, although a Hollywood actor is really sweet, not what I was imagining. Alessandra sees right through him from the start, as a single Mam she has more to think about than herself so tries to put distance between them. Joel does everything in his power to break down her walls, you can’t help but fall in love with him! Will Joel get the girl? You will have to read to find out!!

Wow, just wow!! I knew going into this book it would be emotional but I still was not prepared for what the author put me through. The book starts exactly where the previous book finishes, we know Bella has died but not the fate of Noah, Mel or their unborn baby Nate. I’m not going to say anymore as you need to go into this book blind, if there are any reviews with spoilers please don’t read them!! Just make sure you are sitting comfortably, have plenty of alcohol and an endless supply of tissues! At times I felt as if my heart had been ripped out, shredded and then handed back to me. Just when I thought all the crying had finished, Dee pulled something else out of the bag and the tears would start again!! This is the end of a seriously amazing series, I’m sad that it’s come to an end but I can’t wait to see what awesomeness the author comes up with next.
