A fantastic read! A standalone in a series of four. Harlow and Noah were meant to be is all I can say. Humor, sadness, happiness and love are all the emotions felt through Shayla’s writing.
Noah is retired from football but has an offer to be a commentator but needs time off to figure out what is happening to him. Concussions have done a number on him and now he can’t talk when anxious. He goes home to Hawaii to have peace until he figures out how to accept the job offer without his secret coming to light.
Harlow is house sitting until the owner comes to takeover the house. She meets Noah and finds out that he is the new owner of said house. They kinda hit it off on a physical level and Harlow is game for the orgasms Noah is willing to give her if she stays at the house. Harlow finds out about Noah’s secret and is willing to help him with a perks.
Harlow is a closed off person when it comes to love but otherwise she’s a blast and Noah wants to know her and keep her once he helps her too. Can Harlow get past her insecurities and let Noah in?
Shayla I can’t wait to read the other books in this standalone series. You give so much emotion in this story that I couldn’t put it down unless my eyes were too heavy to stay open (lol). I am happy to have found you and your books and short stories in anthologies, you’re a great writer. 5 Stars
