Retrieval by Aly Martinez is one of the most original stories I’ve ever read. It is beyond intense in so many levels. The story follows two broken couples due to different circumstances and how they are pulled together will blow your mind. Elisabeth and Roman have been to hell and back and as we follow these two very strong characters fall back in love with each other after all the pain they’ve went through you can help but fall in love as well. Roman is so cocky and sure of himself knowing that he now will win back his wife after years apart. Elisabeth has been going through the motions for years unable to leave the past behind her. The chemistry between these two is intense, emotional and time funny. When both Roman & Elisabeth are finally honest with each other it is heartbreaking. I devoured this book in no time, not wanting to put it down. I’ve been thinking about this review for a couple days and it’s so hard to describe this book without giving anything away which is why I’m super vague but I assure you this book will blow your mind! I can’t wait to read “Transfer”. 5 massive stars for Retrieval by Aly Martinez
