I love this series and couldn’t wait to dive into this book, it doesn’t disappoint! This story follows Adeline and Smiley, what can I say?? It was awesome! I was totally sucked into their story and absolutely devoured it in one sitting, we get to see how they fell in love and how Smiley protected her through certain events. I loved how Smiley loves her unconditionally, Adeline had a rough past which she still suffers from but there’s no judgment from him. The story does go into her past which was difficult to read at times but I think the author did a good job considering the subject matter.

It has everything you want from a MC story, there’s drama, hot alpha males, some steam but ultimately a sweet romance. I loved that the couple were older so there’s no ow/om drama, Smiley knew what he wanted and that was Adeline! I loved catching up with the rest of the MC, it was also good to read certain situations from a different point of view. This could possibly be read as a standalone, but I think you should read the series in order so you get more enjoyment out of it. I flipping loved the epilogue! This author never fails to deliver a good epilogue. 5 Stars
