This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone, the couple from the first book do make an appearance but you don’t need to have read their book to enjoy this. The story follows Frankie Hartigan and Lucy Kavanagh, Frankie is a fireman, following in the footsteps of his father, after watching his younger brother fall in Love he knows that’s not for him. He’s happy being single and having fun, a throw away comment from a past fling has Frankie reevaluating his life and wondering if he’s as happy and content as he makes out. Lucy is a crisis communication specialist, she always has an answer and is a confident, curvy woman. After being fat shamed while eating alone at a bar, along comes Frankie to her rescue, after an enjoyable evening Lucy mentions her high school reunion, Frankie has time off work so tags along, what could go wrong? What could go right??

I thoroughly enjoyed butterface, the first book in the series, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this, it doesn’t disappoint. I totally devoured this book in one sitting and was left with a book hangover! I loved that Lucy isn’t stick thin, she owns her curves and works with what god gave her. She was sassy, feisty and always had a witty come back. I loved Frankie, he was hot, took his role as Lucy’s protector serious, I enjoyed watching him fall! The chemistry between them melts your kindle, the banter between them will have you laughing out loud. I loved the sneak peek of the next book, tom boy, I seriously cannot wait to read it! Another fabulous read from this author.  4 Stars
