This is the first book I’ve read by this author so I really didn’t know what to expect when I dove in, what I got was a wonderfully sweet YA romance with amazing characters.
The story follows Derek and Amelia, Derek is the popular, good looking jock who doesn’t seem to give Amelia a second look. Amelia is the quiet, shy, nerd who just wants to bend in and survive high school. Enter new student and bad boy Max and his sister
Jeanette, Max’s friendship with Amelia rubs Derek the wrong way and makes him realize it’s now or never to make Amelia his girlfriend or loose her forever. Throw in some mean girls, hot hockey players, sweet and heartfelt moments, strong friendship bonds and first loves, all this gives you an amazing read that makes you wish you were back in school!! A fabulous read, can’t wait for the next book in this series. 5 Stars!
