This is the first book in a new series and what a start it was, the story follows Mia and Anton. Anton is a pro hockey player who lives and breathes hockey with no time for anything else, his teammates call him father Anton because of his clean living. What they don’t know is that he’s in love with a teammates wife, Mia and has been since he first saw her. Mia has separated from her abusive husband but he still has a hold over her that she hates. After bumping into Anton unexpectedly, he soon becomes a bit of a knight in shining armour for her and helps her get rid of her cheating ex. Soon Mia started to have feelings for Anton, but can she give her heart over to him without losing herself?
I really enjoyed this book, I was sucked straight in and before I knew it I was 70% through it. Although the story is about the blossoming friendship/ relationship brewing between Anton and Mia, we have a few background characters that were awesome and helped to enhance the story, giving it another depth and providing some light relief. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series. 4 Stars
