When you visit Durango, you know it’ll be filled with only the hottest of men and strongest of women. Ollie and Joe are no different!

Ollie has been an independent woman most of her life. Shes raised a daughter and built an entire business in Durango, keeping to herself and only letting a few in. Her daughter has been babysitting for their new neighbor for months now, and Ollie has only waved across the street. That is until her past catches up with her. Can she survive the past and keep her neighbor at a distance?

Joe is the new chief in town, actual chief of police to be exact. After his wife passed, he and his boys needed a change. Durango needed a new chief. The timing couldn’t be better. What he didnt expect was what he would find in Durango. When his mysterious neighbor runs into trouble, can Joe stay professional and take care of business?

From page one, I couldn’t step away from Ollie and Joe. Both of these characters have such pasts to overcome, but that dont control their day to day. It takes awhile to piece together their collective heartbreak. Their hearts are closed off and yet they know what they need. When you’ve been independent this long, it’s hard to let someone in.

In true Durango fashion, their circumstances bring them crashing together quickly. With danger around the corner, your heart will be racing from more then just stolen touches and hot kisses. But can they be together when the dust settles? This is a trip through Durango with some of your favorites you won’t want to miss! 5/5

Covering Ollie by Freya Barker is the second installment in her On Call series but can be read as a standalone if you wish. This sexy crime thriller romance will keep you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle from start to finish. I loved that Freya has mature characters in her stories and Ollie & Joe don’t disappoint their chemistry is off the charts. Ollie is strong willed single mom of a teenager and Joe is learning to deal with change with a new city, job and life raising two young boys on his own.
