Sexy Motherpucker by Lili Valente

Title: Sexy Motherpucker
A Bad Motherpuckers Novel

Author: Lili Valente

Genre: Steamy Romantic Comedy/Hockey Romance
Release Date: May 22, 2017

Blurb
When the family dog trots in with my diaphragm in its mouth—in
front of my date, his parents, and his adorable little girl—you would think I’d
hit rock bottom.
WRONG.
Let’s back this up a sec…
Brendan Daniels is the sexiest man alive. The captain of the
Badger’s NHL team is also clever, kind, funny, and was my good friend…until we
cruised out of the friend zone one weekend with a red-hot fling. Come Monday
morning, I wanted to keep riding the Big O train to happy town, but Brendan
wanted someone who was “stepmom” material.
A.K.A, not me, apparently.
The problem? I’m crazy in love with him and his daughter. So when
he asks me to be his pretend girlfriend for a long weekend with his former
in-laws, I say yes. We’re still friends, after all, and friends don’t let
friends fake it alone.
***
Laura Collins is the last woman I should be thinking about taking
in the back seat of my car, in the woods behind my in-laws’ house, or in a
hotel room where we’re sharing one very small, very squeaky bed.
I need a steady, stable influence for my daughter, not a fling
with this too wild, too young, too impulsive red head. So what if she’s
beautiful and intense and passionate and has the biggest heart I’ve ever known?
I don’t want to fall in love. I really don’t. The whole “pretend
girlfriend” thing was supposed to solve my problems, buy me a little more time.
But when it comes to Laura?

Hell,
maybe I’m just not cut out for faking it.

 Review by Susan:
The first book in this series was one of the best books I read last year so when I got the chance to review this book I was so excited, it doesn’t disappoint. This first book was quite light hearted, this book has a more serious theme to it. There are a lot of twists and turns and things you don’t see coming, I loved Bryan! He was freakin awesome, a total alpha male and a bit of an arsehole at times. He didn’t set a great first impression on Valerie, but she more than held her own. Valerie was an amazing heroine, totally perfect for Bryan, she didn’t put up with his crap and gave as good as she got. I loved the background characters, his family provided some laugh out loud moments. Another great read from this author, I can’t wait to see what awesomeness she comes up with next! 4 Stars

Synopsis

Ever Leath, leader of the deadliest crew within the Magical Enforcement and Containment Agency’s ranks, has always known she’s a half-breed—until a visit from her estranged mother changes everything. She’s determined to marry Ever off for political gain, no matter the consequences—even if it means Ever’s life.

Searching for the truth leads to disturbing doubts about Ever’s heritage, and just as answers appear, so does Dare Fitzpatrick. Captain of the Royal Goblin Guards and son to the current Goblin King, he claims he knows who Ever’s real father is and that she could be in danger. Ever doubts Dare, until he helps her escape the clutches of her would-be suitor and grants her shelter within the Goblin Kingdom.
Staying in Goblin, which has previously been off-limits to half-breeds, is a risk Ever has to take to keep everyone she loves safe. Neither of them planned on the fiery heat between them, but Dare won’t take no for an answer.  Ever knows she can’t risk losing her heart to the cocky goblin, despite her attraction to him. At least that’s the plan.
Until it all falls apart.

Review by Candy:
Loved it! Ev is a feisty half breed that has been living with humans her entire life, and humans know about elves, goblins, etc. She has been asked to mate by her mother who rarely acknowledges her so she becomes suspicious. She wants answers to why? She meets Dare a goblin who will help her get her answers but it seems there is more to him and her. On the road to answers with Dare his brothers and her team, she feels for Dare but doesn’t think it will work because half breeds aren’t allowed to mate with full bloods, Dare will try to change her mind. Anyway it gets interesting when markings appear and Ev glows and gets kidnapped too. What is in store for Ev and Dare in this wild adventure to seek the Mark of Truth? Graceley you give your characters strength and purpose in this fantasy adventure love story. You made me see these creatures in a new light from most others. I hope that you bring Ev and Dare closer in the next book cause I think they are each others half that has been missing. A great start to this series, can’t wait for book 2. A must read of fantasy creatures. You get all kinds of ugly, cute, and dreamy characters. 5 Stars

Review by Susan:

This is the 8th book in this series but can be read as a standalone, though I do suggest you read the previous books as they are fab!

I did enjoy this book, I read it quite quickly and in one sitting. The story follows Brick and Amelia, I liked Amelia, she had a rough time with her previous relationship but was still feisty and didn’t put up with any crap from Brick. Brick was a total arse!! He was a total player and didn’t want to settle down, he loved his life how it was but then a huge spanner is thrown into his life and knocks him off course. At times I really disliked him, he spent a lot of time trying to please his friends and live up to his player name than seeing what a gift he had been given. He does make a few stupid decisions, luckily he has Amelia to help pick up the pieces. He does redeem himself by the end of the book and becomes the man you know he can be! Overall an enjoyable read, can’t wait to read the next book in this series. 4 Stars

Shameless by M. Malone & Nana Malone

I am the thing that goes bump in the night. I am a liar, a protector…a killer…I am Noah Blake.

There is only one light in my darkness, one bright ray in the storm of my life. Lucia DeMarco. And I’ll do anything for her. Anything except show her who I really am…an assassin. Well, former assassin. I don’t really do that anymore…usually.

It would be easier if she didn’t call me names. Asshole, control freak…shameless. It would also be easier if she didn’t look at me with those trusting gray eyes. If I didn’t dream about the perfect curve of her — never mind all that. The point is she’s digging into my world, my secrets, and it’s going to get her killed.

But first, we have another more immediate concern. Lucia is going on a date—With someone else…

Review by Paula:

Lucia is still wondering who killed her brother 6 years ago the dreams come and go but she’s determined to find out why. Noah is gonna protect Lucia no matter what he has to do. But Noah is starting to have feelings for Lucia and he knows with all the lies he should leave her alone. Very intense story so far that keeps you turning the pages wanting to know more and that ending total shocking! I can’t wait to read more of this series! 4 Stars

Excerpt 1

Brent interjected. “I should probably be going.”

Lucia gripped his forearm harder. “No. Stay. Noah is going. Aren’t you Noah?”

Noah grinned, his devilish smile bringing a mischievous twinkle to his eyes. Looking at the two of them in close proximity, Lucia could see clearly that there was no competition. Noah had dark sooty lashes that framed those intense whiskey-colored eyes, high cheekbones, a straight Roman nose, and full lips that tilted crookedly when he smiled. The man was gorgeous and he knew it. Which was a problem. Because he often used it to get what he wanted.

Brent, in comparison, also had dark hair, but not as dark as Noah’s. It also didn’t fall in disarray where some parts looked styled and other parts unkempt, but mostly looking like he’d just rolled out of bed. Or he’d rolled out of bed with someone. Brent’s eyes were a pale blue. Kind. He was cute in that boy-next-door, All-American kind of way. He didn’t look like he belonged in a fashion magazine, not like Noah did.

Feeling a little uncharitable comparing Brent so unfavorably with Noah, she had to concede that he was at least tall. Not as tall as Noah, but few men could compare to Noah’s towering height. Besides it wasn’t about looks, or height, or charisma, anyway.

Annoyed with herself, Lucia closed her eyes, hoping maybe this was all a bad dream, but when she opened them again Noah was still there. With him in the room, it was hard to breathe. He dominated and sucked up all the air, silently pulling her towards him with his gravitational force alone. It was like poor Brent wasn’t even there.

“Now, Lucia, I know you’d like to think you’re in charge right now. But you’re not. You don’t know this guy. And you invited him back to your place? I thought I taught you better than that.”

Brent tried to make an escape again. “Lucia, why don’t you deal with this guy? And we’ll try this again later.”

“No. You’re not going anywhere.”

Noah pushed himself to a seated position. “Oh yes he is. Because, you and I need to discuss what the hell this is for.” He held up the party gift from the bachelorette party.

Oh no. Oh no. Oh no.

In that moment, Lucia prayed to every saint her grandmother had ever forced her to pray to. Prayed to the Virgin Mary then to Jesus. Heck, for good measure, she added Buddha in there too. Just in case. But nothing happened. The ground did not open and swallow her.

Instead, she stood with her hand on Brent’s arm, staring at Noah as he held up the largest purple dildo she’d ever seen in her life.

Brent’s mouth fell open but no sound came out. As mortified as she was, Lucia couldn’t really blame him. The stupid thing was over a foot long, and thick. Really, really thick. Like thicker than a cucumber. She’d certainly never used the thing. It was a gag gift.

“How dare you go through my things!” she squeaked.

Noah shrugged. “I didn’t go through your things. The drawer was open. The thing was practically sticking out of it. Making its escape.”

Next to her, Brent shifted his gaze to her.

“That’s not mine,” she whispered. “I m-mean it is but I’ve never used it. It’s a gag gift from a bachelorette party.” She swung her gaze to Noah. “Put that down.”

“Not a chance. I mean, this thing is fascinating. I’m no stranger to toys myself. As far as I’m concerned, they can always enhance the situation. I’m not one of those guys that feel jealous or threatened. Matter of fact, I’m all for a little solo play. But this thing.” He held it up and shook it around. “Even I’ve never seen anything like it. And I’ve had a lot of practice.”

He turned his attention to Brent. “No disrespect to you, but I don’t think you can live up to this. It vibrates and rotates! Even I feel a little frightened by this thing.”

Screw the ground opening up and swallowing her whole. Just shoot her now. That would end this quickly. Shoot her. Send her little behind to heaven. Because she was done. Noah was bending the dildo around as it wiggled in his hands. He pushed the button, and the damn thing rotated on its own, making a whirring sound. Oh God. Could this get any worse?

Brent fixed his gaze on her. “I’m going to go.”

“No, please don’t go.”

She lunged and grabbed at the dildo, tugging when Noah refused to release it. The silicone material bent in ways Lucia was sure it wasn’t intended to as they fought over it. This was easily one of the most undignified moments of her life but she just couldn’t take it anymore. Noah’s smug face as he watched her struggling to get a better grip on the wiggling, gyrating piece of plastic only made it worse.

“Ugh, let go!”

In a fit of sudden anger, Lucia kicked him in the shin. And in his surprise, Noah let go of his end of the toy. The next few seconds would forever play in her mind in slow motion as she watched the toy fly end over end and hit Brent directly in the face.

“Ouch!”

Lucia covered her mouth in horror as the toy fell to his feet. The silence that followed was only broken by the sounds of the still-running toy, wiggling over the carpet.

Noah guffawed. “My bad. Did I get it in your mouth? Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean anything. What’s a little dick in the mouth between friends, am I right?”

Twenty-Two (Assassins #11.5) by Toni Aleo

Review by Susan:
Wow, Toni has done it again! This novella is amazing, for fans of the assassin series this book is a must read. This book follows Lucas, Fallon and their family. We get to catch up with them, see Aiden becoming a man and a future NHL player, see the reality of playing in the NHL and how it effects Lucas family life. We get to catch up with some of the other couples too, there’s some heart-wrenching decisions to be made, but a lot of love too. Another amazing read from this author, can’t wait to read the next book in this series. 5 Stars!

When Lucas Brooks was traded to the Nashville Assassins over a decade ago, he was a brash, brawling hothead without an anchor.

Well, four kids and a smokin’ hot wife will weigh you down real fast, but Lucas wouldn’t change a minute of his happily ever after.

During an epic, end-of-season quest for the Cup, changes appear on the horizon, and suddenly, there’s a plot twist in Lucas’s fairy tale.

Fallon held a half-eaten snow cone in one hand and her phone in the other with one earbud in as she watched Aiden rush down the ice, the puck under his control. He caught the defense on a change, somewhat of a breakaway, before he shot the puck hard toward the net, hitting the back of it with ease.
“Woot!” Audrey called from beside her.
“Yes!” Fallon fist-pumped as the girls stood by the glass, bouncing up and down in their way too big Brooks jerseys. Looking over to Asher, who was on his computer, she said, “Your brother scored.”
“Attaboy!” he called out, but he didn’t look up, which only made Fallon shake her head as she watched Aiden hug his teammates. “What’s the score on Daddy’s game?”
“Two-zip, Assassins,” she said as she waved her hand in the air when Aiden looked up at her, like he always did. Like he always had, and a part of her was excited about his future. But the other part just made her heart ache. When he was in college, would he be able to see her?
And in the NHL? Crap, she knew he wouldn’t be able to see her then.
“This is game four, right? They win, they go to round three?”
“Yes, baby. Emery! Get off there! Come eat this snow cone. It’s melting.”
Emery continued to climb on the rail of the bleachers as she looked up. “I don’t want it.”
“Then come get it and throw it away.”
She pouted. “I don’t want to.”
“Emery Elaine,” Fallon warned. “Get over here. Right now.”
“I want my daddy!”
“That’s new,” Audrey commented as Emery stomped up the stairs, her little brow
furrowed.
“That’s Emery, who has stayed close to her dad every moment he’s been home,” she muttered as Emery stopped in front of her. “Do you want that tail wore out?”
“No, ma’am.”
“Then what do you need to do?”
“Throw away the snow cone and watch my mouth?”
“Exactly,” she said, handing the snow cone to her trying child before looking down at her phone to see that the Assassins were on the penalty kill. They were probably playing the best hockey she had seen them play in her many years of supporting and loving the team. She was excited, but her gut was in a knot, not only for the Assassins but also for Aiden. Because across the rink, she could see the Bellevue representatives, watching her little boy with intent.
“Aiden is playing great,” Audrey said then, and Fallon nodded.
“I know, the best he’s ever played. Just like the Assassins.”
Audrey beamed. “We’ll close out tonight and then get a nice break before round three.
They need it.”
“They do.” Looking down at her phone, Fallon watched as the second period ended, and she let out a long sigh. One more period. Twenty more minutes, and if the Assassins could hold the Hawks, they’d move on to round three. She couldn’t believe it. This would be the first time the Assassins had swept anyone in the play-offs, and according to Facebook, Elli was coming out of her skin.

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.
I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.
I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?

Excerpt

Sweat beads at my brow as the breath whooshes out of me.  I’m bent over, arms dangling down. Beneath
me, the most delicious, hardest length I’ve ever felt presses into my mound. I
want to rock against it.
I can’t move.
He won’t let me.
He keeps me like this, draped over his lap, immobile.
The sound of a strike reverberates throughout the room, but
silence remains. No noise. It isn’t allowed.
Moisture drips from my every pore, and yet, I’m focused on
this one drop as it gathers at the center of my forehead. Becomes bigger.
Everything’s out of control.
Crazed.
Hyper-awareness consumes my every breath.
I count to ten and it falls to the ground.
A small splat no one will ever hear. And yet, I do. The
sound as it hits the floor causes my breathing to stutter and skin to prickle
with goose bumps.
“The last ten, love,” Noah whispers, his hand massaging the
heated flesh beneath his fingertips. It hurts, but the pain is replaced by a
yearning so strong that I whimper in his lap.
Like a bitch in heat I arch and ask for more.
His touch.
His desire.
To make this burning within my veins stop.
With one hand he gathers the hair at my nape and forces my
head back. A harsh tug—I’m in his control—forces my eyes to his. Hooded dark
blue eyes look at me with concern, but behind their depths I see another
emotion burning.
Lust.
His want mirrors my own. This perversion is awakening
something darker from within. It grows—chokes us, because behind it all we were
meant to end up like this. My body at his hands. In his control.
Those hungry eyes look at me. Silent communication. Are you
okay?
I blink back a please and the asshole smirks. Aware of what
I need even as my mind fights the sins I have laid bare to his eyes.
My release is so close. A fresh round of arousal drips from
my core and onto his boxers.
I’m positioned over his lap, ass up, and the very tip of his
cock is against my hip. He’s hard. Jerks against me when I gyrate against his
length.
“Please,” I beg aloud this time and his hold on my hair
tightens. The hand kneading my ass cheek spreads me open to look at my
depravity. At what his own hands have caused.
That thong, that minuscule piece of fabric, can’t hide what
this game is doing to me. The evidence, slick and inviting, is on his lap.
I shift against his cock and he hisses. “Be still!”
A crackle follows his command and we both shiver. Each time
it appears, things change, become more.
Dangerous.
Frantic.
Wicked.
“Very good my pets, but the audience wants more. Lose the
panties, but without her standing up. Be creative, and there will be a reward.”
I exhale shakily. “Do it.”
“Are you sure?” As the word leave his lips, those same
fingers that a minute ago exposed me to his eyes, now hold my panties in his
grip. He doesn’t wait for a reply.  A tug
follows his question, the sound of fabric stretching meets my ears, and I nod.
Another pull and I feel every welt that forms on my skin
from the rough treatment. The sole sounds in the room are his harsh breathing
and mine. Loud exertion, but at the same time desperate for more.
What else could I say? No. Please don’t?
It would’ve been a bullshit lie and we both know it. The
voice commands and we follow. It asks and we accept our fate.
There’s a sick part of me that relishes in this madness.
Craves him. My Noah.
We have been dealt our cards; there is no escape. We must
accept our fate.

Either we fuck each other, or we die.
